English summary: To mark the 1,000th anniversary of the death of Emperor Henry II in 2024, the city and diocese of Bamberg are celebrating the Henry Jubilee. One of the programme highlights this year will be the exhibition '1,000 years ago' at the Bamberg Historical Museum in the Alte Hofhaltung. This special exhibition does not focus exclusively on the emperor, but also on his wife Cunigunde and the lives of the people of the time. The exhibition is told from the perspective of the general population. Who lived in Bamberg 1000 years ago and how did people live back then? What did people eat, what clothes did they wear and how did they spend their days? Who went to war alongside the emperor and what did it mean to go on a military campaign back then? How much leeway did women have? These and other questions are elaborately staged and supported by modern and innovative media. Numerous interactive activities offer visitors the chance to feel the texture of medieval clothing or the weight of the armour of the time for themselves. The exhibition is sponsored by the Bayerische Sparkassenstiftung, Stiftung fur Kunst, Kultur und Denkmalpflege der Sparkasse Bamberg, Oberfrankenstiftung and the Ernst von Siemens Kunststiftung.
