Overview

Inspiration approaches me at random. I chase it as a fish pursues an iridescent lure before it disappears from the pull of its line by a mysterious force. If I seize it before it disappears, the inspiration ignites a feeling, much like bits and pieces of dreams we remember that take us to a place, and with a feeling difficult to translate. My poetry attempts to make these translations, as a musician who wraps music around lyrics and weaves voice into them to evoke feelings among listeners. Voice in my words is my perspective, and without recognizing and appreciating one another's perspectives, we can't communicate. Walt Trask
