Author Information

George M. Watson, Jr. served in the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970. He earned a Ph.D. from The Catholic University of America in 1974, an M.A from Niagara University in 1968, and a B.A. from the University of Maine in 1966. He is presently Chief of the Special Projects Team at the Air Force History Support Office in Washington, D.C. He has written numerous articles and conducted many interviews, and has authored The Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, 1947-1965 and portions of With Courage: A History of the Army Air Forces in World War II.
