John Myerson is a highly gifted healer, and in this book, charts the connections of the unseen world and the unnamed forces that shape our everyday existence. In this book, Myerson explores how patterns and archetypes shape our minds and our perceptions, and how these different energies affect our lives and our sense of self. He opens the door to the mystical realms while being firmly rooted in practical and pragmatic methods of healing. As well as reading his books, I have experienced working with John in person. I went into his office a psychic and spiritual mess, barely able to function on a day to day basis. Not only did he give me a way out of this suffering, he helped me to understand myself on a deep foundational level, and perhaps most importantly showed me how to empower myself on the road of healing. For as is made clear in his books, John seeks to reveal to each individual their own methods of healing and connecting with the universe. His being and his works are truly a gift to this world. I would highly recommend this book to anybody who is interested in healing, in any sense, shamanic or otherwise, as well as to anyone who simply wants to learn more about themselves and the world they live in.

Author Information

John G. Myerson, Ph.D., Lie. Ac., is a graduate of Harvard College and the New England School of Acupuncture. He received his Doctorate in Psychology from The Union Institute. He practices shamanic healing, psychotherapy, and Oriental medicine, and is the founder of the LifeArts Center for Healing and Shamanic Studies in Framingham, Massachusetts. He has studied, practiced, and taught Zen, yoga, Taoist cultivation, martial arts, and shamanic practices for over forty years. Judith Robbins studied philosophy and literature at Harvard University (A.B., M.A.T.). As well as teaching in these areas for over forty years, she has also studied, practiced, and taught Vipassana meditation, tai chi, yoga, and shamanic healing. Most recently, she co-authored the sixth edition of Writing a Research Paper, published in 2008 by Wayside Press.
