Ijaz Shafi Gilani has lectured in various Universities and other institutions of higher learning, such as the National Defence College, National Institute of Public Administration, Administrative Staff College and the Institute of Strategic Studies. Dr Gilani has delivered the Rashdi Memorial lectures for the Central Asian Society of Karachi University and Memorial Lectures at the Punjab University, Sheikh Zaid Center. He has been Senior Fellow and Adviser to Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) from 1993-2000.
