Deborah B. Hicks is a retired elementary school teacher, living in Lawrenceville Georgia with her husband Mark. The book Vivienne Valentine was originally started in her classroom while teaching creative writing to her students and finished upon her retirement. She has always enjoyed writing stories in rhyme. Besides writing, Deborah enjoys Carolina shag dancing, traveling, reading and regular get-togethers with her retired teacher friends.
