ABOUT THE BOOK These poems were written out of necessity. I came to a point in my life where I asked myself who I really was, but I didn't have an answer. I had very hard questions about my courage, integrity, self worth, and especially my direction in life. I have accumulated so many experiences in my short life that sometimes I feel like an old man. The truth is, these experiences had molded me into someone with knowledge and just a hint of wisdom. So I wrote everything down, every emotion I felt coupled with every memory and every thought that provoked words from my mouth. The hardest thing to do is express the truth, especially if it is not pleasant.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Jorge Aguayo is a combat-decorated Marine who served with the Third Marine Division as an infantryman. He participated in Desert Storm, Desert Shield from 1990-1991 assisting with the liberation of Kuwait. Vita is Aguayo's first book.
