In 2022, she published Ficino and Fantasy: Imagination in Renaissance Art and Theory from Botticelli to Michelangelo. Previously, she was Director of Studies in Art History at the Royal Netherlands Institute in Rome. Maria Fiammetta Iovine holds a joint PhD in Early Modern Philosophy and Science from Radboud University Nijmegen and the University of Toulouse.
