Alphonsus Liguori (1696 - 1787) practiced law for eight years, but was disappointed with the corruption of the system. He left law to become a priest and founded the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (the Redemptorists) in 1732.Dennis J Billy, CSsR is a teacher, writers and poet. He is the author of numerous books and articles, both popular and scholarly.
