A contemporary sage poet and writer, Aayan discovered his talent for poetry during the COVID-19 pandemic, using his words as a powerful tool to navigate the complexities of the world around him. His writing style is characterized by its uniqueness, seamlessly blending personal experiences with incisive political commentary to create thought-provoking works that resonate with readers. A graduate of Alabama A&M University, Aayan holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and telecommunication, as well as certification in software engineering from Per Scholas. During his time at the university, he distinguished himself both academically and athletically, earning a full soccer scholarship while excelling in his studies. Following graduation, Aayan further honed his skills through an internship at NBC, where he served as an administrative assistant, gaining invaluable experience in the corporate world. In addition to his career in writing, Aayan is also a successful entrepreneur and business owner. Together with his late wife, Joy Jennette, he established Nubian Nails, the first black-owned and operated nail salon in their community. Joy played an instrumental role in the development and growth of the business, and her passing has left a profound impact on Aayan and the community at large.
