OverviewIn this work, the new integrated system of visible free space optic (VFSO) and broadband powerline communication (BPLC) (1MHz up to 30 MHz) is presented and detailed, in which by considering all types of noises and multipath effects in the hostile PLC medium, discrete multi-tone (DMT) modulation was selected to overcome channel impairments and blue filter was used to increase the bandwidth of commercially available phosphor-based white LED at receiver from 2 to 20 MHz is proposed. In order to make the results of project comparable with the existing system the some recent works were revisited and using the blue type white LEDs the performance of proposed system for indoor area was simulated.
