Author Information

Professor Vithalbhai Ambalal Patel did his schooling at Sarva Vidhyalaya in Kadi, BSc with Mathematics from MG Science Institute in Ahmedabad, MSc in Mathematics from Sardar Patel University, and PhD in Applied Mathematics from University of California at Berkeley (under the supervision of Professor Hans Einstein). He was a Professor of Mathematics at the Humboldt State University (now known as California State Polytechnic) at Arcata in California. He has published a textbook on Numerical Analysis. After retirement, he has published 2 books and numerous articles in Gujarati, mainly related to mathematics and science.
