His research focuses on the assessment and treatment of violent, sexual and psychopathic offenders. He is the lead author of the Violence Risk Scale (VRS) and the Violence Risk Scale- Sexual Offense Version (VRS: SO) and the Violence Reduction Program (VRP). He has published extensively in the areas of risk assessment, treatment and psychopathy; he also consults internationally with forensic mental health and criminal justice organizations. Audrey Gordon, M.Ed., R. Psych. is a Registered Psychologist and co-author of the Violence Risk Scale-Sex Offense Version (VRS-SO), Violence Risk Scale (VRS) and the Violence Reduction Program (VRP). Her areas of research and practice are in the assessment and treatment of violent and personality disordered offenders, as well as forensic program development. For 19 years she worked on a violent offender unit within a forensic psychiatric facility in Canada. As part of her private practice portfolio, she has provided risk assessment and treatment consultation services to numerous high-secure hospitals and prisons in Australia, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, United Kingdom and United States.
