Ehret was renowned for his detailed botanical illustrations, he was initially employed as a gardener's apprentice. His early illustrations circa 1735-1736 were produced in collaboration with keen botanists, Carl Linnaeus and George Clifford. Throughout this collection of Ehret's work, there are beautiful illustrations of flowers, fruits, plants, and insects.
