OverviewThe book Vinnitskiye Nakhodki (Vinnitsa Findings) is based on real historical materials. It includes two documentary essays - Isaac and Maria and The Radbils. Isaac and Maria describes a history of the Jewish orphanage in the 1920s in the township Bratslav in the Ukrainian Podolia, where the young future tank production minister Isaac Zaltsman worked as a tutor. The essay The Radbils tells us about the family of the famous Soviet physicist Matvey Bronshteyn who perished in the Stalinist purges. His grandfather, a Litin merchant, did not receive any serious education himself, but took all possible care to provide one to his children born in Vinnitsa, whom he sent to the prestigious universities in the Russian Empire and abroad. The book uses materials from private and state archives and unique unpublished photographs. Full Product DetailsAuthor: Elena TsvelikPublisher: M-Graphics Pub. Imprint: M-Graphics Pub.
