Murió a los pocos días de dar a luz a su segunda hija, la futura autora Frankenstein. Passionate advocate for social and educational equality for women. Considered by many the ""founder"" of feminism, she defended in times of the Enlightenment the right of women to receive the same education as men and to participate on equal terms in the political life of society. She died within days of giving birth to her second daughter, future author Frankenstein.
