Author Information

Marion S. van Aken-Fehmers has been working at the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag since 1995. This has been as an employee of the research project Delftware that meanwhile has resulted in the existing four-part 'Delftware' series: 'History of a national product' (1999, 2001, 2003 and 2007), including the most recent part, 'Vases with Spouts, 300 years showpieces'. Other projects with associated publications and exhibitions include: 'Delftware in the seventeenth-eighteenth century area as compilation' (municipal Museums Delft, 2002), performed in cracking style Delftware (national ceramics museum Princessehof Leeuwarden 2003) and black Delftware (Museum fur Staatlichen Schlossern und Garten Lackkunst, Munster and the Baden- Wurttemberg, 2003-2004). Suzanne M.R. Lambooy has been employed at the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag since 2009 as project assistant Delftsaardewerk. nl. She has also worked as an art-historical researcher on the exhibition: 'Delftware Aronson Antiquairs of Amsterdam'. Previously, she was a junior specialist at Christie's auction house, and worked as a project officer involved in the curation of the ceramics and glass collection of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Titus. M. Eliens is head of Collections at the Gemeentemuseum The Hague and Professor of Applied Arts at Leiden University. He is a well-known author who specialises in domestic culture and design of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
