OverviewThese photographs are from a private collection and taken during the Vietnam War by a combat medic in Vietnam. These were taken between August 5, 1967 and July 28, 1968. At that time the medic was assigned to the 1/27th Wolfhounds, 25th Infantry Division. This is the Black & White photograph version. Many young men, the baby boomers, were involved in the Vietnam War in the days of the United States military draft. Those who were there well remember the war and the loss of friends. There was lots of anger by the general population towards our own country concerning the involvement and many protests were done against the war. Many refer to those days as 'the days of Hanoi Jane and lying John'.
