Carrie Eunyoung Hong, PhD, is a professor of literacy at William Paterson University in New Jersey. She has extensive experience directing federal and state grant programs that provide teacher professional development. Irene Van Riper, EdD, is an assistant professor at West Liberty University in West Virginia. She has in-depth experience in teacher preparation for reading specialists and teachers of individuals with disabilities.
