Overview

This volume of proceedings is a collection of refereed papers resulting from the VI Hotine-Marussi Symposium on Theoretical and Computational Geodesy. The papers cover almost every topic of geodesy, with particular emphasis on satellite gravity modelling, geodynamics, GPS data processing and applications, statistical estimation and prediction theory, and geodetic inverse problem theory and geodetic boundary value problems. Particular attention is paid to topics of fundamental importance in the next one or two decades in Earth Science, seafloor geodesy, for example, and in statistics, mixed integer linear models, for example, and even goes beyond traditional geodetic topics, environmental monitoring by geodetic methods, for example. It serves researchers by providing most updated information on theoretical and computational advance in geodesy and beyond, graduate students by guiding them to unresolved problems, and mathematicians with challenging mathematical frontiers arising from modern space technology.
