Lulu Delacre es la autora e ilustradora de muchos libros infantiles galardonados y exitosos, incluyendo ¡Olinguito, de la A a la Z!, el cual ganó el premio Orbis Pictus de Honor; Luci Soars; y Turning Pages de Sonia Sotomayor. Ha ganado el premio de Honor de Ilustradora Pura Belpré tres veces, más recientemente por el libro The Story-teller's Candle/La velita de los cuentos de Lucía González. De padres argentinos, Lulu Delacre nació en Puerto Rico y ahora vive en Washington, DC.
