Excerpt from Vektordifferentiation und Vektorintegration Ferner m chte ich, bevor ich mit der eigentlichen Auf gabe beginne, noch auf einige Unterschiede in der Produkt bildung bei Hamilton, Grassmann und Gibbs hinweisen, Hamilton geht von dem Begriff des Quotienten zweier Vektoren a und b aus und leitet die Multiplikation als einen speziellen Fall der Division ab, w hrend bei Grassmann die Multiplikation zuerst definiert wird, und die Division als spezieller Fall aus ihr folgt. Nach Hamilton ist, wenn wir den Winkel zwischen den beiden Vektoren a und b mit (p und den zu beiden senk rechten Einheitsvektor mit c, bezeichnen.
