Easy read with a compelling storyline and relatable characters. The scenes and scenarios are descriptively well written that I felt like I was transported to each place in the book. The author is masterful at building the tension in the action scenes and also between characters. It kept this reader captivated! Looking forward to the next one to find out what's in store for Captain Ty Hudson and the other characters! A well written novel intertwining military action, family life, and political intrigue. This is an exceptional novel! Well developed and compelling characters involved with plausible actions ripped from our headlines. Politicians at their worst selfish ambitions, marines selfless service, sacrifice, heroism, scapegoats, courage, and love are all in this book. We see the sacrifice active military families make and the struggles of our active military men and women. I stayed up too late reading to finish this book. Ty was a true to life Marine with realistic character flaws but one you rooted for throughout the story even when he didn't stay with the straight and narrow. You felt a part of what he was doing and why. He has some conflicts with politicians and struggles to come out on top.There is plenty of adventure with lots of military action and a few politicians that don't care about telling the truth but want to force their own agenda. I am looking forward to reading more from this author and encourage others to read this story.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I've never heard of this author, but I gave the book a chance and I'm glad I did. I read a lot of political and military thrillers because I love the pace, the action, and characters. This book nailed all three. The protagonist, Ty, jumps off the page and feels real. It's easy to root for him and Romeo team. But, there are also plenty of characters you'll be rooting against. The twist at the end sets up a sequel perfectly. I definitely recommend this book and can't wait for the next one! I really enjoyed this book. The characters were well developed and you could feel how Ty, the protagonist, grew through adversity. There were a few twists that I didn't expect and it kept the story moving fast. He's flawed, so the story feels even more relatable-looking forward to recommending it to more people! Great pool-side read. The character development, plot progress and edge-of-seat action sections were perfectly balanced. Can't wait for Ty's next mission assignment! This book had me on the edge of my seat! Couldn't put it down! One of the best thrillers I have read in a long time. I am not a huge fan of the thriller genre but this book was amazing. I couldn't put it down!
