Vango Piano Method: Kind Two

Overview

Vango Piano Method, Kind Two is designed for students who finished Vango Piano Method, Kind One, or students aged 6 and up, learning piano for the first time. The beginning of the book introduces the basic notes, rests, letter names, and the grand staff, which is a solid ground for musicianship. This method focuses on reading notes and rhythms correctly, while many music theory games enforce students' music theory knowledge. This book is 107 pages long and contains all the materials for a beginner to learn piano. No extra lesson book or theory book is needed.

Author Information

Hannah N. Vango has over 15 years of teaching experience. She received her Master of Music degree in Music Theory from the University of Texas at Austin and Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She graduated Summa Cum Laude. She has a 2 year experience teaching sophomores and freshmen at UT Austin. She realized a lot of piano method books for children focus on fingering numbers and positions, and progress too quickly without letting students absorb the new concepts. She understands especially how young children learn the piano and has developed Vango Piano Method books. Also, the books are easy enough for parents to understand so they can help their children. Her unique teaching method focuses on how to read notes and rhythm correctly, which is the basics of learning music.
