Author Information

Fred Claar is a board member of the Jewish Education Project, My Jewish Learning, Jewish Student Connection, and a member of a Commission on Jewish Identity and Renewal (COJIR) task force of UJA. He teaches Jewish issues and texts to high school students, as well as school groups at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City. Joyce Claar is a retired English and special education teacher in high school and middle school. She was chosen as the 2001 Teacher of the Year in Workforce Preparation by NYAACE. She is a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Westchester Jewish Council and the former chair of Westchester Adult Jewish Education (WAJE).
