His interest in sustainable construction ginger him to evaluate issues of building collapse in his 1st degree and as a quantity surveyor, he focused on enhancing the profession through the application of value management in his Master’s thesis. He has his PhD from Federal University of Technology, Akure and he has been teaching several courses in value management, quantity surveying and project management for some years. His areas of specialisation is construction value, cost and general sustainability management and he has published several papers relating to these areas in reputable journals and conference proceedings. Prof. Aigbavboa Clinton, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. His research interest are situated in the fields of sustainable human development, with the focus on: sustainable housing regeneration (urban renewal and informal housing), Life Cycle Assessment in the Construction Industry, remanufacturing, leadership in low-income housing, Biomimicry, post occupancy evaluation and green job creation. Before joining academic, he was involved as quantity Surveyors on several infrastructural projects both in Nigeria and South Africa. He completed his PhD in engineering management and has published several research papers in the area of housing, construction and engineering management and research methodology for construction students.
