Overview

L'objectif de ce travail était de prélever des échantillons de pois chiches (Cicer arietinum) dans un supermarché de Lahore, au Pakistan, afin de détecter la charge microbienne présente sur ces échantillons. Pour stériliser les pois chiches, une dose gamma optimisée à 2 kGy a été administrée. Les microbes détectés sur les échantillons de pois chiches étaient Bacillus subtillis, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus pyogenes et Staphylococcus aureus, ce qui a été confirmé par des bandelettes API.
