Overview"In 1980 the author and her son went together to see Egypt after he had spent a year in Denmark as an exchange student. It was a trip of a lifetime! After making their way from meeting in Germany, they traveled by train and ship through Greece to Cairo. There life became a mass of chaos, beauty and surprises. The author invites you to come along with her to ""see"" things you may never again be able to explore in person due to unrest in that region. She took many photos, and tells about back streets of Cairo, tea in the desert with a man who looked ancient, then drove S. along the Nile River. Conditions were primitive until they lived in splendor in a beautiful hotel in Luxor. On little donkeys they explored the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens in extreme heat. Going into tombs, they saw sights she'll tell you about. It's a treasure of memories and photos."
