Author Information

Clare R. Kilbane is a professor at the University of Notre Dame, where she educates future teachers, designs curriculum materials, and conducts research on education. She also serves as the director of research and development for online education at the McGrath Institute and is its senior learning designer. A former elementary school teacher, Kilbane has 20 years of experience working in teacher education. She has authored many videos and multimedia products as well as more than 35 articles, book chapters, papers, and reviews. Kilbane has a degree in elementary education from the University of Dayton, a master's degree in instructional design and technology from The Ohio State University, and a doctorate in educational evaluation from the University of Virginia. Natalie B. Milman is associate dean of the Office of Students at The George Washington University's Graduate School of Education and Human Development and a professor of educational technology in the online Educational Technology Leadership Program. Milman is co-editor of the Current Practice section of Contemporary Issues in Technology and Teacher Education, has published numerous journal articles, and is the co-author of several book chapters and books. She began her education career as a 2nd grade science specialist, mentor, and technology teacher, and has a doctorate in instructional technology with a specialization in preparing technology leaders from the University of Virginia's School of Education and Human Development.
