OverviewThis book explores positive psychology interventions; strategies which are aimed at enhancing positive emotions, cognitions and happiness among students in higher education institutions. Students worldwide have reported increased psychosocial issues which negatively affect their overall well-being and mental health. The poor well-being and mental health of university students has led to among other things, high attrition rate, suicide cases, low academic performance, and increased psychological and social problems among them. There has been increased interest in reach on the well-being and mental health of students in higher education. However, despite this, there is still scanty research on positive psychology interventions that could be adopted to boost well-being and mental health of students in higher education institutions. This book significantly contributes to the body of knowledge on adoption of holistic perspectives to boost well-being and mental health of students in higher education institutions.
