Overview

As a fit and active 51-year old, with low cholesterol and no obvious risk-factors, I experienced a near fatal heart attack. I was fitted with a stent and prescribed a life-sentence of medication, that contained a long list of terrible side effects, and was told that the chances of another heart attack were quite high. Confused, scared and frustrated at the position I found myself in, I decided to learn as much as I could about heart disease. What I have discovered along my journey to recovery, is that most of what the general public believe about heart disease is incorrect, and is actually harming their health. Worse still, many doctors and the mainstream media continue to prescribe and promote medications, dietary and lifestyle interventions that either don't work or lead to further health complications.
