Gordon Brown has been a Labour MP since 1983, but will stand down at the 2015 general election. He was Chancellor of the Exchequer from 1997 to 2007 and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 2007 to 2010. He is currently UN Special Envoy for Global Education.
