Author Information

Dan McClinton served in the US Army for 24 years as a Warrant Officer and Master Army Aviator. During that time, he participated in numerous deployments and operations around the world including 3 combat tours in Iraq totaling 37 months in length. From 2004-2011 he served as the Battalion Tactical Operations Officer and AH-64D Pilot in Command for 1-227th AVN REGT which was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division at FT Hood, TX. He retired from the Army in 2011. His awards include the Legon of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal (7) and the Bronze Star Medal. He currently lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area.
