Forward By Coach Brent Etchison I had the privilege of meeting Tyler Handy for the first time as part of a job interview to be his assistant golf coach. I knew after that meeting, he was a special man of God. He shared His testimony, and I have never been the same since. I walked away from that first encounter, knowing that Tyler was anointed by the Holy Spirit. Not just your everyday anointed; this was like dripping with the Holy Spirit! Tyler is, who I believe without a doubt, a present-day Peter. And not just Peter, sprinkle in some Elijah, Paul, Jacob and Jonah. Bold, brave, unapologetic, raw, obedient, on fire for Jesus' kind of servant. He walks, talks and sometimes wrestles with Jesus every day. If you were to spend just 15 minutes listening to Tyler, tell of his daily encounters with the Lord you will be forever changed. I desire that kind of relationship with Jesus. Take a moment to look at your hand. Examine it closely. The fingers, the fingernails, the lines in the palm, the fingerprints. The fingerprints. No one else on this earth now, nor in the past, nor in the future, has the exact same fingerprints as you! God made you uniquely different. Tyler explains,"" Why is that so hard for us to believe, that God can speak to everyone differently? My challenge is as you read, you will see and hear how God talks to me, determine and know the creator can talk to you, but in a different way, so that my walk is not yours. It's different."" quoted from ""We Get To"". God's fingerprints are all over Tyler's story, it is undeniable. Let Tyler's story ""inspire us"" to allow Jesus to speak into us our own story. Then listen, obey, trust Him and go tell somebody about Jesus! In Tyler's first book, The Teaching Place, the preface reads,"" I'm not writing because I think I'm anybody special. I'm writing because I want to be faithful to tell the truth about Somebody who has never failed me."" I see Tyler as someone who is very special and the reason for that is that He walks the talk, every day, 24/7. He lives it; he owns it, and he will tell anyone he encounters, who it is that has saved his soul! Understand the events the Lord used in Tyler's life to bring him to where he is today.
