OverviewThe current environmental problems are related to solid waste, from which various problems arise; atmospheric pollution when it is burned, when it is thrown in the street, the storage of this waste causes the sewers to become clogged, and it is also thrown into ravines or rivers, because there is no management, and collection services are deficient. For this work, a seven-day diagnosis (NMX-AA-015-1985) was carried out in 54 households in the community of Máximo Rojas Xalostoc, where waste was collected daily, recorded, weighed and quantified (NMX-AA-022-1985). With the data obtained, we worked on the proposed waste management plan for this community, which includes street sweeping, household collection and transportation to the ""Metztli"" Transfer Unit. Organic waste will be ground for composting; recycled waste will be separated, weighed and stored for later sale. Biological and infectious waste will be deposited in the final disposal cell.
