Previously, he was a legal officer with the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. Professor Tullio Scovazzi, now retired, was Professor of International Law at the Universities of Parma, Genoa, Milan and Milan-Bicocca, Italy.
