L'Uomo Moderno E La Chiesa: Atti del Congresso 16-19 Novembre 2011

Overview

At the origin of Modernity, during the XVI and XVII centuries, the Church partecipated with great commitment and with a positive spirit. Starting from the XVIII century, however, she distanced herself from those cultural currents that imbued ever wider spaces in society. In order to understand teh Church's role in contemporary culture it is necessary to look at these centuries of the Modern Age with a spirit of constructive discernment. We are, in fact, its children.
