Author Information

THE TRAGICALLY HIP were the bestselling Canadian band in Canada and the fourth bestselling Canadian artist overall in Canada between 1996 and 2016. Nine of their albums have reached #1 on Canadian charts, and they have won 16 Juno Awards for their music. DREW MACKLIN, co-author, is a real estate agent and a long-time Hip fan. He lives in Cobourg, Ontario. CLAYTON HANMER is an illustrator with a broad range of clients from The New York Times to National Geographic Kids. He has illustrated several books including Trending- How and Why Stuff Gets Popular by Kira Vermond. He lives in Prince Edward County with his family. JULIA BRECKENREID is an illustrator who lives in Toronto, painting stories for kids big and small. She holds a Diploma in Illustration from Sheridan College. Her books include An Eye for Color by Natasha Wing and A Room of Your Own by Beth Kephart. BRIDGET GEORGE is an Anishinaabe author-illustrator and mom. She was raised on the shores of Lake Huron in the traditional territory of her people in Kettle and Stony Point First Nation. It's a Mitig! was her debut picture book. MONIKA MELNYCHUK is an illustrator who lives in Whitehorse. Her illustrations have been featured in Fashion18, Chickadee, Owl, UTNE Reader and the New York Times. She is also the illustrator of Girl in the Know by Anne Katz.
