The Torture Victim Who Ended the Torturegate Scandal Unspeakable Pain is the story of David Bardes, who was falsely accused of a crime, financially destroyed, hunted down, and immediately locked in jail cell designed to torture with hypothermia (shivering to death in the cold.) Bardes was forced to patiently and painful wait for our nation's jails and prisons to brutally torture more inmates to death with hypothermia, until the head count to the dead grew to a number, to allow him to take his third Federal lawsuit to the US Supreme Court. Asking the Constitutional question, were citizens being brutally tortured to death with hypothermic torture a violation of the Constitution? On April 15, 2016, the US Supreme Court voted to no longer dismiss any torture lawsuits, especially those of hypothermic torture. Hours later, a Federal judge did not dismiss a lawsuit brought by the family of the innocent Muslim kid frozen to death by CIA hypothermic torture. After this came a flood of torture lawsuits from all over the country. The Torturegate Scandal was over. No longer with protections from the higher courts, jails and prisons adjusted temperatures to allow inmates to remain alive, lest they become poor inmates themselves after being successfully sued. The DOJ resumed protections for citizens' rights, while Federal judges reestablished much needed justice for victims, and to serve as deterrents to further bad actions.
