Jeder Sommer ist im verschlafenen pannonischen Dorf beinahe gleich - heiß, staubig und ein bisschen zu langweilig. Doch in diesem Jahr steht etwas völlig anderes in den Sternen. Als die brütende Hitze jede Bewegung zur Qual macht und es scheinbar nichts Aufregendes mehr gibt, hat Zvezdan, Anführer der Knabenbande ""Space Cowboys"", eine geniale Idee: Warum nicht außerirdische Spuren in ein Weizenfeld legen? Ein harmloser Streich - zumindest dachten sie das. Doch plötzlich gerät das ganze Dorfleben aus den Fugen. Ein Außerirdischer soll auf dem Feld der Tvrtkos gelandet sein. Zwei Dörfer werden unter Quarantäne gestellt. KOS-Agenten beobachten jeden Schritt. Aus einem Kinderspiel wird ein ausgewachsenes Chaos, das niemand mehr kontrollieren kann. Wie lange wird das von der Knabenbande ausgelöste Durcheinander anhalten? Die Nerven liegen blank, Gerüchte schießen ins Kraut, und die Situation droht zu eskalieren. Und als wäre das nicht genug, stehen auch die erste große Liebe, eine bröckelnde Ehe und eine höchst ungewöhnliche Freundschaft auf dem Spiel. Wie das alles endet? Das steht - wie so vieles in diesem Sommer - in den Sternen.
