OverviewThe University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC) in Sri Lanka was formed in 2002 by bringing together the Department of Computer Science and the Institute of Computer Technology.Professor V. K. Samaranayake is the founder of the UCSC and after his retirement he worked in UCSC as an acting director for a short period and joined with the Sri Lanka ICTA as the Chairman since 2004 until he died.The UCSC is fully equipped with nine student laboratories, two multi media laboratories, two research laboratories, a campus wide fibre network, with the entire UCSC building complex fully wired for Internet access. UCSC has a state of the art network-operating centre.
