Lonnie Smith is the minister and elder of Eastside Church of Christ in Winston Salem, NC where he has served for 18 years. He has preached the gospel for 40 years. He is a graduate of The Southeast Institute of Biblical Studies (formerly East Tennessee School of Preaching and Missions). He was also the Minister of Scarboro Church of Christ in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, for 17 years. He served as the Dean of Students and was also an instructor for 15 years at The Southeast Institute of Biblical Studies. He holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Union Institute and University. He also holds a TH.D. from Trinity Theological Seminary. He was an associate professor at Amridge University in Montgomery, Alabama for 5 years. He is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Supervisor. He works for Optum as a Behavioral Therapist. He also holds gospel meetings, speaks on various lectureships, and conducts workshops. He is married to Katonya Eccles Smith and has two daughters, Britney Monroe (Deonte) and Brooke Smith.
