Author Information

Rick Lawson is Professor of European Human Rights Law at Leiden University. He specialises in European and international human rights law, against the more general background of public international law, international institutional law and EU law. He published widely on the European Convention of Human Rights, the Council of Europe, and on the protection of fundamental rights in the EU legal order. Ramses A. Wessel is Professor of European Law at the University of Groningen. He publishes on various dimensions of European law, with a focus on the interface between EU law and international and domestic law, EU External Relations Law, EU Common Foreign, Security and Defence Policy and the Law of International Organizations.
