Author Information

Abbas Poya received his PhD in 2002 from the University of Hamburg, Germany, and completed his Habilitation in 2014 at the University of Freiburg, Germany. He currently heads the Junior Research Group (Nachwuchsforschergruppe) ""Norm, normativity and norm changes"" at the Department of Islamic Religious Studies at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. Dr Poya has previously worked as a Research Associate at the Department of Islamic Studies at the University of Freiburg and as a Junior Fellow at the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies. Farid Suleiman received his Master's degree in Islamic Studies with honours from Leiden University, the Netherlands. He is currently a PhD candidate and member of the Junior Research Group (Nachwuchsforschergruppe) at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität in Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. His dissertation is titled Die Attributenlehre des Ibn Taymiyya [Ibn Taymiyya's concept of the Divine Attributes].
