The good news is, there is no good news, so we have nothing to lose. That means there's no better time to have fun. The time is right now. We might as well-there's no tomorrow. Danny Grey and his posse live life like there's no tomorrow. Instinctively. Ritually. There is more fun to be had. Dangerous fun, ideally. Danny Grey's motto is ""Seize the day."" Danny jumps at any chance. When opportunity knocks, he freaks out, fearing it's the cops, and jumps out of a window, but that's another book. A hot tip from a corrupt, loose-lipped, hammered cop leads Danny, Mills, and Stinky into the abandoned underground of Los Angeles. High as hell with low expectations, they find some things. They ask each other and themselves, ""Is this real, or isn't this real?"" Time will tell. Here's what is real: the future you've been promised and the one you've been brainwashed to plan for will never materialize. Danny, Mills, and Stinky might survive.
