Marieluise Beck has for decades been a notable German politician. She was, among others, Member of the German Bundestag for the Green Party and speaker of her parliamentary group for Eastern Europe. Beck co-founded, in 2017, the Center for Liberal Modernity (LibMod) in Berlin. LibMod is an independent think tank that stands for the defense of liberal democracy and accompanies Eastern European countries in their transition to internationally embedded, law-governed, and pluralistic societies. Dr. Serhii Plokhy ist Professor für Ukrainische Geschichte und Direktor des Ukrainischen Forschungsinstituts an der Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Anne Applebaum is a staff writer for the Atlantic and a Pulitzer-prize winning historian. Volodymyr Yermolenko is a Ukrainian philosopher, journalist and writer. He is the President of PEN Ukraine and the current Analytics director at Internews Ukraine, one of the largest and oldest Ukrainian media NGOs. He is also the Editor-in-chief of UkraineWorld.org, a multimedia project in English about Ukraine and an Associate professor at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. He has been published in numerous outlets, such as The Economist, Le Monde, Financial Times, New York Times, and Newsweek. Dmytro Kuleba has been Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine since 2020.
