Most programs in the Air Force are consistent with this technology-based culture, but problems arise because of the failure to understand the various implications of this culture. An understanding of the Air Force's culture can explain many of its current beliefs and actions, and senior leaders should understand the role that culture plays in determining the eventual success of the organization. More importantly, an understanding of the Air Force's culture can enable senior leaders to know how to lead it into the future.
