Guy Martin, who is currently professor of political science at Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, NC) has over 30 years of teaching and research experience in International Studies. He taught International Relations and International Organizations at various diplomatic institutions in Africa-Institute of International Relations of Cameroon, Yaounde; Institute of Diplomacy & International Studies, Nairobi; School of Government, University of the Western Cape, Cape Town-and at various U.S academic institution, notably The American University, University of Virginia, and New York University. In addition to Africa in World Politics: A Pan-African Perspective, Guy is co-editor (with Chris Alden) of France and South Africa: Towards A New Engagement with Africa (Pretoria: Protea Book House, 2003); and co-author (with Mueni wa Muiu) of A New Paradigm of the African State: Fundi wa Afrika (New York: Palgrave Macmillan, 2009). Mueni wa Muiu, is currently associate professor of political science at Winston-Salem State University, where she teaches International Relations.
