This Book is NOT a guide for food intake or carb counting. My grandmother developed type 1 diabetes at the tender age of 19. As of today she is 82 years young. She has had a very strict regimen of insulin and eating regularly every day. No, this book is about how I failed her for over 40 years. Until I had another family member develop diabetes. At this time I started to noticed sizable similarities between the family members. This book is written to help any family members understand and hopefully help distinguish the signs that I have observed of this disability. I am not a doctor. I am a real estate agent with a big heart and noticed the untold amount of damage this disease has done to my family. I hope this book can help families connect with their loved ones on a much deeper level and understand the needs of one with diabetes.
