Reviews

Praise for Under The Radar As current as today's headlines. Nigeria is at the brink of a state of emergency, as an alarming number of the deaths across the country churns in almost a fortnight. But DSS Agent Ray Okon suspects something sinister as the incidences all have similar patterns. Under The Radar is a sophisticated fast-paced crime thriller novel set in Nigeria, riddled with mysteries and intrigues as our favorite DSS Agent Ray Okon is back, to battle with formidable forces and unravel the mysteries behind these deaths. I enjoyed this book because of its relevance to current happenings, the action, the romance and the police procedurals. Edidiong Esshiet, Author of The Lagos Swap I remember reading 'Ties that Bind' and thinking it doesn't get better than this. Well, little did I know that following fast on its heels is this phenomenal masterpiece 'Under the Radar'. Having fallen in love with the sensible and dedicated Ray Okon in 'Ties that Bind, ' I could not help but root for him throughout this book. I feared for his life at several times. And that of the dazzling Sarah Aderinsola. They were a match made perfect by the security and intelligence agencies. Stanley Umezulike has weaved a powerful story about deep seated crime in an almost dysfunctional society, a story that sent chills down my body as it did Ray and his team. A story that had me at the edge of my seat almost saying out loud, ""what next?"" Like its predecessor, 'Under the Rader' is a book you cannot put down till the last page. You will actually release the breath you weren't aware of holding. Fast paced, delicious and simple of diction. I highly recommend this book to readers anywhere in the world. Christiana Agboni, author of Yuletide Sparks Ray Okon faces a challenging criminal investigation at first thought to be an open-and-shut case. The more he delves into solving it, the deeper he digs into the corrupt world of the upper echelon in Nigeria. The setting is modern-day Nigeria, and the reader experience life through the images the author paints with words. The main character, Ray Okon, is well-developed with human frailty and internal and external challenges he must face. Ray is realistic, and connecting with him and sharing his journey was easy. I received a complimentary ARC copy of Stanley. Umezulike's Under the Radar and found it to be a page-turner packed with action. The plot is well defined and easy to follow, with many twists and turns, a true crime mystery. Leila Kirkconnell, author of Missing
